Throughout the town hall debate, Donald Trump’s favorite thing to argue was that Hillary Clinton was getting more time to speak than he was. At one point he insisted that it was three to one, him being the one and Clinton being the three. But the results are in, and Trump ended up with more time speaking than Clinton, even not counting his gripes.
Last night’s debate was a constant struggle for Donald Trump. Between threatening to jail Hillary Clinton and stalking around the stage like the creepy predator we know he is to being completely unable to take a compliment, Trump looked more like a drunk old man at a bar than a Presidential hopeful.
If asked, to sum up, the debate I would say Trump answered just about every question with either, “Benghazi,” or “Isis, I’ll get rid of them.” Even when asked about whether or not he respects women, unlike his recent scandal of leaked audio with Billy Bush, he reiterated he apologized and then changed the conversation to Isis.
It is safe to say that with his Republican political support waning and the rest of his support coming from groups like the KKK, Donald Trump may have officially fired himself from any chance at being the next President of the United States.
However, this is not at all the fault of media or “liberals gone wild,” when a candidate answers a question about Islamophobia and his response demeans the Muslim people; he is burying himself. Not to mention that as soon as an African American man asked a question, he immediately brought up the projects even though the question was not anywhere close to covering that.
With the Republican party tucking tail and running it will be interesting to see what choices the Republican National Convention has in store. Trump has more than disgraced himself this election season, and Republicans who once endorsed this man are more repulsed by him than most.
