A high school senior, Anna Lehane, wore a homemade t-shirt to a rally for the Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. It said:
“Grab my pussy. I dare you.”

This brave teenager made and wore this shirt to a Trump rally after the horrific audio that surfaced over the weekend.
The audio was recorded on a hot mic in 2005. Trump was appearing on Access Hollywood with Billy Bush. Trump bragged about kissing women without their permission. He said that he can grab them “by the pussy” because he is famous.
Lehane said this to the Huffington Post about her choice to wear the shirt:
“I made the shirt as a protest to people in the public spotlight on such a global platform making such disrespectful, degrading and misogynistic comments and still being taken seriously.”
She talked about receiving both supportive and rude comments from people at the rally. She said this about the comments she received:
“Many people took pictures of my shirt without permission and there were some degrading comments made ― mostly by older white men it seemed.”
She told the Huffington Post that she would be willing to sell the shirts.
On a phone interview with Elle Magazine, she said:
“I felt disillusioned then with the opinions of [Trump] and any woman who supports him. You can’t control how I vote by grabbing my whatever. The fact that I’m a woman doesn’t mean that I’m easily influenced or controllable or someone who shouldn’t be taken seriously.”
She was originally a Bernie Sanders supporter, but now she is all for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. She also said:
“Hillary Clinton wasn’t my first choice, but she stands for women and I stand for women. And Bernie Sanders supports Hillary now–I’m not just basing my opinions on him, but I think Hillary is definitely the better choice for the President of the United States.”
This girl is very brave to wear that amongst the pervy Trump supporters. It is quite a statement; I’m glad none of the Trump supporters hurt her. As women, we need to show the Trump supporters that women won’t stand for this disgusting, disrespectful man.
