The selection of Stephen Bannon as President-elect Donald Trump’s chief strategist is continuing to cause an uproar. Many critics call Bannon a white nationalist who uses his pseudo “news” site Breitbart News as the alt-right’s racist and sexist mouthpiece while his supporters say he’s simply a misunderstood anti-liberal media mogul.
Whether Bannon actually is a racist, white supremacist, anti-Semitic, sexist douche — or whether he just makes a living being one — seems a difference without a distinction.
