Brutal Attack At Ohio State University – 10 People Injured (VIDEO)

This morning, an active shooter incident was reported at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. The suspect, who is now dead, drove a car into a crowd and stabbed eight people.

The suspect purposely drove over a curb and into a crowd of pedestrians. He then got out of the car and stabbed eight people with a butcher knife.

The University issued an active shooter warning at 10 a.m. EST. The suspect did not use a gun. The suspect was shot to death at the scene.

There are at least 10 people injured, one of whom is in critical condition.

The Washington Post reported:

“Four of those injured Monday had cuts or stab wounds, and four were injured after being hit by the car, said Andrew Thomas, chief medical officer of the university’s Wexner Medical Center, which is treating some of those who were injured. The injuries to the ninth person were still being assessed, Thomas said at the news conference, because she had hidden in place after the attack and went to the hospital on Monday afternoon.”

Rachel LeMaster, who works in the engineering college, said a fire alarm sounded before the attack. She said:

“There were several moments of chaos. We barricaded ourselves like we’re supposed to since it was right outside our door and just hunkered down.”

The suspect did not have a gun. The motive for the attack is unknown.

Many people barricaded themselves in classrooms during the incident.

All of the classes are cancelled for the rest of the day.

Students in nearby apartments were hunkered down during the incident as well. One student, Jenny Chen, said:

“It’s honestly kind of terrifying because I was at home and away from my phone at the time.

I got flooded with messages … asking me if I was safe and I didn’t even realize this was happening. Now I’m just scrambling to make sure that people I know are safe as well.”
