Trump Keeps It In The Familiy, Son-In-Law Will Be Senior Advisor (TWEETS/VIDEO)

If ‘draining the swamp’ means hiring family members to guide him in office, then our future president might actually stick to one of his campaign promises.

President-elect Donald Trump has received justifiable backlash over his cabinet picks. A misogynist and a woman who claims birth control cause abortions. Now his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, is slated to be a Senior Advisor.

Just another rich white man that’s married to the future president’s daughter. The same daughter he’s blatantly sexualized, promised a White House office to that’s typically for a First Lady, and has worked in the family business for well over a decade.

People on Twitter are already pointing out the obvious nepotism, which is the practice of favoring family members in business.

Someone actually decided to see if this is legal, which apparently it is.

Aside from being married to the daughter Trump once said he’d date if they weren’t related, Kushner has quite the career. He’s the current Chief Executive Officer of Kushner Companies, a real estate organization in New York City that was founded by his father. He also owns the New York Observer, a pop culture newspaper about New York City.

Right before his new White House position was announced, Kushner said he’d step down as CEO of Kushner Companies. It appears as though he doesn’t want any conflict of interest. It’s not as though working for your father-in-law is unethical.

Americans continue to be concerned about Trump’s personal interests while running the country. Ivanka has already used his new role to expand her business. His sons, Donald Jr. and Eric, will help run the family business their father started. He’s even tried to convince everyone there’s no reason to be concerned, but there is.

He has yet to divest his interests.

Hiring your son-in-law is the whipped cream on this cringeworthy sundae of unfit leaders. While America would like to see this family stick to real estate, it’s becoming more and more evident they’re here to stay.
