President Donald Trump is many things: pussy grabber, conspiracy theorist, and golfer extraordinaire. Our president can also hardly stop embarrassing our country on the world stage. London suffered a terrorist attack on Saturday, when men drove a van through a crowd and then exited and began stabbing people before being gunned down by police. Seven people were killed and 48 more were injured in the attack.
The mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, issues a statement attempting to calm the city and explain what actions were being taken to prevent future atrocities. This is how our president responded:

Once again, Trump is being very misleading with his Twitter-happy fingers. Here is the relevant part of Khan’s statement:
“Londoners will see an increased police presence today and over the course of the next few days. There’s no reason to be alarmed. One of the things the police and all of us need to do is make sure that we’re as safe as we can possibly be.”
To clarify, Khan stated that there was “no reason to be alarmed” due to the increased police presence that people would see over the next few days. Not that there was no reason to be alarmed about a terrorist attack that wounded dozens of people. But we all know the President Trump and his team can’t be bogged down by things like facts.
Or that his supporters will bother to listen to the statement and actually hear what Khan was suggesting. Especially when they hear that he’s Muslim.
From pushing world leaders aside to perhaps condemning our planet by withdrawing from the Paris Climate Agreement, Trump continues to find new ways to embarrass us on the world stage. His mockery of other leaders should come as no surprise.
