Unlike many Democrats and Progressives, I’m proud of both of our candidates. We have two outstanding individuals who are fighting for the privilege of leading our country. I like them both, and feel that either would make an excellent president. I don’t like it when either of them screws up in big, awkward, embarrassing ways….which is what Hillary Clinton recently did when she claimed “I don’t know where he was,” referring to Bernie Sanders and his “absence” in the 1990s healthcare fight that was led by Clinton.
As it turns out, a lot of people on Twitter had an answer for her. And it’s ugly…awkward…and embarrassing.
From Mike Casca, rapid response manager for the Sanders campaign.

for the record, she did know he was there: “i’m grateful that congressman sanders would join us today from vermont.” https://t.co/B2cvs4UNth

And if video proof isn’t enough (it is), there’s this:

The Clinton camp didn’t handle it well, either. (shocked, I’m SHOCKED!)
Jennifer Palmieri, Hillary for America Communications Director, said that it’s easy to see that Clinton was “out in front.” She even said that the photo/video proved the point, since Sen. Sanders was standing behind Clinton. See below via Jennifer Epstein, a Bloomberg Politics correspondent:
Clinton "was out in front. Sen Sanders was in the background. She was the one who took the slings & arrows of the hc industry" –@jmpalmieri

It's "ridiculous" to say Clinton made 2nd unforced error in 2 days, Palmieri says. "Photo proves our point … she is the one out front."

Ugh. Please someone just shoot me now. Not really, Trump supporters. But seriously, can someone help our candidates not do this dumbsh*t?
Here’s something that all of this proves. We have two candidates who have BOTH been fighting the good fight for us for longer than they can remember (literally….ha). We’re fortunate to have them both.
h/t to my over-the-top awesome kid, Liam Willis, who follows this stuff like crazy and found this story for us.
