Jim Carrey has been a big proponent of stricter gun control laws in the United States for many years. Having watched?the Sandy Hook shooting and aftermath unfold, Carrey became even more vocal about gun violence, especially semi-automatic weapons and large capacity magazines. So in 2013, he made a video on Funny or Die, where he made fun of the gun culture in the U.S.
Predictably, the folks at Fox News?lost their minds and viciously attacked a comedian who had the audacity to make fun of their main viewers. I believe good ole Rupert Murdoch sent out the memo to crucify Jim Carrey Fox News?style. Well I think Fox News?must have taken the day off from the “fair and balanced” slogan, because they went after Carrey with both barrels. It’s a shame Fox News?only managed to shoot themselves in the foot, better luck next time I suppose.
