Unless you’ve been living in a cave for the past week, you know that the controversial Republican-penned Obamacare replacement bill flamed out epically, and was finally shelved last Friday. And while you’d expect left-leaning and progressive media outlets to rub it in, a surprising number of conservative journalists are seizing their moment to be critical, as well.
Conservative outlets like the Drudge Report and Lifezette were not happy about the American Health Care Act’s content and used President Donald Trump’s claims of repeal and replace against him. The words like “failure” and “humiliation” appeared in their headlines on Friday.
Lifezette founder and notorious conservative political pundit Laura Ingraham took to the President’s favorite medium, Twitter, to throw some shade his way:

They’re also criticizing the Trump and GOP pivot to “let Obamacare fail” after their own healthcare bill was shot down by their party.
A Lifezette reporter notes:
“The tactic of delaying the fulfillment of one of Trump’s key campaign promises to a nebulous future date did not sit well with many conservatives — many of whom warned of great political risk in following the strategy.”
This is a warning shot to President Trump and his White House, as well. While they were powerful allies to the now-President during the election, they’re showing that they can be also potent enemies if he fails to meet expectations. And so far, he hasn’t.
It seems like the last remaining cheerleader is Breitbart. Not surprising, of course, since its founder Steve Bannon is Trump’s top advisor. They’ve chosen House Speaker Paul Ryan as the scapegoat, heaping all the blame onto the Republican Congressman from Wisconsin. They’ve even started leaking rumors that Trump is looking to replace Ryan as Speaker of the House.
Then again, Breitbart is also the website that published those ridiculous wiretapping claims, so let’s take that with a grain of salt.
