Help Stop Watching Us Stop The NSA From Watching YOU

When I was in junior high school, I would sneak out of class and wander ?down to the library and check out this old LP broadcast of Orson Wells’ original radio rendition ?of ?War of the World Radio Broadcast (1938).?It was a classic, and at the time of its airing, thousands upon thousands thought it was real. That was the thing that fascinated me. How could so many people be fooled this way?

In today’s world it happens on a routine basis. Common Sense would tell one that to control someone, or, more importantly, groups of people, a system of information gathering would be vital in that goal.

What became apparent from the aforementioned radio broadcast was really a case study on how media could be an instrument of social control by design. What we have before us today is a huge disconnect on the populist, and how a government agency like the NSA conducts its commission of duties, and, in doing so, violates the basic American right to privacy protections.

Which begs the question: why not just get rid of it altogether? There is an organization working to do just that.

Stop Watching Us is a coalition of more than 100 public advocacy organizations and companies from across the political spectrum. The video below harnesses the voices of celebrities, activists, legal experts, and other prominent figures in speaking out against mass surveillance by the NSA. Please share widely to help us spread the message that we will not stand for the dragnet surveillance of our communications.

This truly is a matter all Americans do agree on which crosses all party lines, The Right To Privacy. See the video to get involved:
