Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace grilled a House Democrat over Pres. Obama’s use of executive action, but about twice a year, Wallace shows some backbone and integrity. Today was the day! He also grilled Karl Rove over the use of executive privilege — that of Pres. George W. Bush.

He told Rove:

?I think it’s fair to say you worked at a White House that took a pretty expansive view of executive powers, whether it was signing statements by President Bush when he was signing bills into law or the way that he waged the war on terror.?

Predictably, Rove defended his president, stating that they have “broad authority in waging war.” However, also predictably, the black guy Obama shouldn’t be allowed the same executive privilege, right? Duh! He said that Pres. Obama is “absolutely” going further than Bush did in exercising the use of power.

?The lawyers came back and said you have the ability to exempt individuals but no ability to exempt a class. And yet this president has exempted a class of people from enforcement of immigration laws,? Rove said. ?This is imperial power. This is George the Third. This is some monarch [saying]: ?I am the law.??
