Meet Lenar Whitney, a Louisiana State House representative who?is currently?campaigning for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. Let’s get right to the point: this lady is a piece of work!
Dubbed the “Sarah Palin Doppelganger,” Whitney actually comes across as even kookier than Sarah, if that’s possible. She recently proposed a solution to the border crisis, during which she pointed out that Pres. Barack Obama is obviously going to do nothing about it. The proof? He plays pool and drinks beer.
“President Obama refuses to address the problem. He’s too busy drinking beer and shooting pool.”
She is referring to the recent right-wing freakout of Pres. Obama playing pool and drinking an alcoholic beverage while the crisis at our southern border continues.

Whitney?has a solution for the border problem that countless politicians and border state governors haven’t been able to solve, though. Her solution? Just secure the border, y’all. D’uh.
“We need to secure the border, and I mean an absolute shutdown. If we can secure the border between South Korea and North Korea, why can’t we do the same between Mexico and Texas? It’s called Dept. of Defense for a reason. ?If necessary, Congress should appropriate funds to build a fence. Fences work. Isn’t there one around the White House?
They want jobs or they want our entitlements — Medicaid, Welfare, Food Stamps. So first we need to make it virtually impossible to receive any of these free services without proof of citizenship. If you want welfare, you’re gonna need to show us your birth certificate. We need you to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that you are an American citizen.
Facts are really inconvenient, and that’s why they make Republicans nervous. Conjecture and opinion is so much easier, after all. However, I love facts, and the fact is that Lenar Whitney is ignorant of the facts. Undocumented immigrants cannot receive public assistance. They can receive schooling and emergency medical care.
