Ted Cruz Just Made A HUGE Confession That May Enrage His Base

Well, well, well….Mr. Conservative and Tea Party Poster Boy Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) has officially admitted that he smoked pot as a teenager, the Daily Mail reveals.

From a Cruz spokesperson:

?Teenagers are often known for their lack of judgment, and Sen. Cruz was no exception. When he was a teenager, he foolishly experimented with marijuana. It was a mistake, and he’s never tried it since.?

The spokesperson won’t reveal exactly how often Cruz enjoyed weed or at what age he first smoked it. Let’s just make an assumption here (cuz it’s fun).?My guess would be that Teddy Boy was a huge stoner!

Keep in mind that a 17-year-old?Ted Cruz was ticketed for?minor in possession of alcohol when cops found an unopened case of beer in his car. You can see the official documents that were obtained by Buzzfeed.?Oh and guess what? He called that a “foolish mistake,” too. Seems Ted is allowed a lot more mistakes than he allows other people.

Ted was a party animal as a teen. Sort of like me. And maybe you. Ted is also a hypocrite. Unlike me, and unlike you.

Imagine this dude high and talking….and talking. Sheesh.

How will the conservative base feel about this? This transgression?may or may not?hurt Sen. Cruz with Republicans.?The conservative base has a long history of ignoring traits in their candidates that they scream about in liberal candidates and politicians…such as where Ted Cruz was born.

For the record, we as liberals don’t care if Ted Cruz smoked pot then, or even if he did it now (it would likely do him good). I’m not personally a pot smoker and am not particularly an advocate of recreational smoking, but I’m a liberal — I’m about personal choice. What we hate, of course, is Ted Cruz’s?hypocrisy. We hate the fact that he is so generous with himself and his “foolish mistakes,” yet expects people like our president to have an impeccable past.
