Vocal Opponent Of Same-Sex Marriage In Texas Has Been Married FIVE Times!

When it comes to hypocrisy, some people seem to have a corner on the market. And that’s certainly the case with Texas Republican State Representative?Tony Tinderholt, who got upset when a Texas judge allowed Texas’ first same-sex marriage to take place.

Tinderholt was so angered by the judge’s ruling that he sent a handwritten letter to?the State Commission on Judicial Conduct in which he railed against?District Judge David Wahlberg, arguing that Judge Wahlberg??deliberately violated statutory law? and concluding:

?…This is unacceptable.?This complaint and any action, which the legislature decides to take, is about ensuring that our judicial system respects the laws of our state and respects the separation of powers.”

One tiny problem: Judge Wahlberg didn’t issue the ruling. Instead, the ruling came from?Probate Judge Guy Herman. Oops! Looks like Tinderholt just made an utter and complete jackass of himself, which I’m willing to bet is a regular occurrence for him.

But wait, the story gets better. Tinderholt has said on numerous occasions that he opposes same-sex marriage because it is is a threat to the sanctity of the institution. This coming from a man who has been married five times!?You read that correctly: Five freaking times! Apparently Tinderholt, in true Texas fashion, wanted to stack his bullshit skyhigh and pretend he’s the best person to lecture someone else on marriage.

Based on public records, we know the following about Tinderholt’s previous marriages: He?married Kimberly Greaves in 1990, divorced her in 1994, married her again in 1995 and divorced her again in 1996. Another marriage lasted from 1996 to 1997, and another from 2002 to 2007. Seems like this guy just cannot seem to get marriage right, so he keeps on trying. Fifth time’s the charm, right, Tony?

Next time, Representative Tinderholt might want to think carefully before he opens his mouth and inserts his foot, but no doubt he’ll be too busy down at the local courthouse either getting a divorce or another marriage license.
