5 Mind-Bending Changes President Cruz Would Enforce

Dig is a new television show, and as I watch it I get the Ted Cruz chills. The premise of the show is trying to halt the Jewish and Protestant fanatics who are trying to end the world as it exists now, to kick off Armageddon. The show is heavily based upon actual beliefs and events.

That creeps me out.

Cruz’s father?began reading the Bible to him when he was four years old. Each night he would say,

“You know Ted, you have been gifted above any man that I know, and God has destined you for greatness.”

Cruz makes this?oxymoronic statement?about his father:

?When my father came over here penniless with $100 sewn into his underwear, thank God some well-meaning liberal didn’t come put his arm around him and say, ‘Let me take care of you.’?

One hundred dollars in 1957 is $831 in 2015 dollars.

The father, an oil-business-turned-fundamentalist (Dominionist) preacher, created Cruz as the anointed leader of an apocalyptic theocracy. Then a year and a half ago, two of the cult’s pastors laid hands on their pretend Jesus to formalize Cruz’s destiny. That world-changing event took place in Des Moines in a Marriott Hotel. (See video below.)

This puts a whole new definition on P.K. (preacher’s kid). I guess I would be cocky too if I believed I was The One to end the world. So what is Cruz all about?

1. ?Cruz’s?War Against Satan

Cruz believes he and his followers will fight an epic battle against ?the forces of Satan.? There is no reasoning with Cruz because his world is black and white. Cruz and his minions are God’s agents, and only they know God’s will. Tough luck for the rest of us.

According to prophecy, he will lead a group of enraged victims against President Barack Obama who supposedly is linked to radical Muslims. In Cruz’s mind, our government is trying to destroy the family and his own belief system. So Cruz intends to take over the government when he has enough power, and he will convert us to a theocracy.

Cruz thinks that Jesus got it all wrong. All this business about not being able to fit a rich man through the eye of a needle is bunk to him. Jesus should have taken money from the poor and given it to the rich.??God’s bankers? will usher in the ?coming of the messiah.?

The government will be shut down so that God’s bankers can bring Jesus back. The new messiah would be a warlike, wealthy Republican who hates the government, like Cruz. But what really frightens me about these characters is this:

?Global war, even nuclear war, is the joyful harbinger of the Second Coming. And leading the avenging armies is an angry, violent Messiah who dooms billions of apostates to death.?

2. The Great Dumbing Down Of Cruz’s America

Cruz and his buddies started with the schools some time ago. Federal and state funding cuts got rid of the arts ? music, art, and others electives. Then grammar and cursive writing disappeared.

Fewer funds mean fewer teachers with more classes. The uber-right started rewriting the textbooks filled with a new history and pseudo-science. Cruz intends to take existing facts and critical thinking out by means of religious indoctrination.

The universities see their monies dry up as states squeeze them. State laws have changed to muzzle professors and kill free thought. The colleges are too expensive for the middle class. Pell grants are scarcer. At the same time the interest rates on school loans have gone through the roof.

3. Drowning Government In The Bathtub Per Cruz World

Cruz hates the IRS and is eager to obliterate it. Actually Cruz hates government of all kinds (except military). So he would turn the Department Of Education and the Department Of Social Security, and state-run Social Services over to his church.

He’s working on killing research such as the National Institute Of Health (NIH), by shutting down its funding. That goes for Medicare, Social Security, and Medicaid, too. Just look at the Republican budget to confirm.

Cruz is trying to put a bomb under Obamacare (Affordable Care Act) to get rid of the so-called death panels and mandated suicide. In Cruz World, if a person gets sick, tough. It is survival of the fittest, Baby.

When Cruz and his political buddies take over, the state will make all laws ?biblical.? His goal is to turn government into ?defense, internal security, and the protection of property rights? alone.

4. Shooting Deviants In Cruz World

Cruz believes LGBT are social ?deviants.? He considers them a ?curse and an illness? that will contaminate the American family. Once they are ruthlessly eradicated, he will go on to repress other so-called?deviants:

??Muslims, liberals, feminists, intellectuals, left-wing activists, undocumented workers, poor African-Americans and those dismissed as ?nominal Christians? (any Christian who does not believe as he does).?

In Cruz’s great plan there are other deviants who must either be seriously reformed or eliminated. They are government bureaucrats, members of the media, and members of any church other than his.

5. In Cruz World?Men Rule

In Cruz World powerless, angry men become heroes. They go to war, adhere to ?blind obedience over reason and conscience,? and take action. Men?cast out??demons, battling the Antichrist, attacking hypocrites, and ultimately slaying nonbelievers.?

Cruz’s cult hates women’s equality and feminism. His fellow tea-baggers are trying to change laws to control women’s bodies including refusal of birth control and health care. As if that wasn’t enough, they want women to make themselves subservient to their husbands. I don’t think so.

And they intend to take away women’s right to vote. You might have noticed that Cruz voted against reauthorizing the Violence Against Women Act.

Chris Hedges,?investigative reporter, said,

??While Dominionists achieving power this would be a disaster for the United States, it also would most probably mark the end of humanity. The end game for these believers is ‘Resurrection’ and the return of Jesus leading his armies to Armageddon marking the end of the world. In power, with nuclear armaments and a pretend Jesus to lead them, their ascendancy could well mark the end of humanity.?

?Cruz is one crazy dude. Fortunately, the person who declares a run for President first always loses.
