Before We Forget: The Past Month’s Top 5 Candidates For Loser Of The Year

Does it seem like there’s been a race recently for Loser of the Year Award? Since media stories move fast and die out even faster, let’s review the top contenders from the past month before we forget them, or they do much stupider things that?overshadow even these.

5. Sarah Palin

In what appears to be another of Palin’s nonsense rants on Facebook, she?compared Josh Duggar with Lena Dunham, insisting that the media has victimized?the Duggars while laughing away Dunham’s “perversions.” Let’s review the differences, Sarah:

Josh Duggar: 15 years old when he molested his 5-year-old sister. Admits that he did it, plus that he did it to four other victims (that we know of). Sisters confirm they were molested.

Lena Dunham: 6 years old when she says she looked at her little sister’s vagina. Used the language that she, as a 6-year-old, did “anything a sexual predator might do to woo a small suburban girl” in order to get her sister to like her. Sister says no molestation happened.

See the difference, Sarah? Yeah, I didn’t think you would.

4. Scott Walker

Walker is confirming his status as loser of the year on almost a weekly basis. After attempting to remove exceptions like rape and incest from Wisconsin’s abortion bans, Walker insisted that was because women only care about rape and incest in the “initial months” of pregnancy. This came right after his move to require transvaginal ultrasounds as a condition of abortion, which is okay because they are just “so cool.”

Oh, Scotty. Please take a whole stadium full of seats, ‘kay?

3. Ted Nugent

Nugent just can’t seem to open his mouth without saying something stupid. This week, he complained in an interview that liberals are just out to get him when they say he was a draft dodger, a racist, and a pedophile. He also bragged?in the past that he had sex previously with very young girls, but it’s okay because:

?I got the stamp of approval from their parents? I guess they figured better Ted Nugent than some drug-infested punk in high school.?

Perhaps the real losers here are the GOP for having Uncle Ted on their side?

2. Mike Huckabee

We were all aware that Huckabee just doesn’t get it, but he confirmed it again this week with his ridiculous statements about transgender people. Surely, trans women are faking everything, despite evidence of suicide rates among the trans community and, you know, the actual people who have shared their experiences. They’re clearly opening themselves up to violence and bullying so they can look at naked women. After all, Huckabee wishes that:

?Someone told me that when I was in high school that I could have felt like a woman when it came time to take showers in PE.?

Yes, Mike. That’s why.

1. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar

Who’s having a worse month than the Duggars? After reports surfaced that their oldest son, Josh, had molested five young girls, the Duggars went on Fox News?to defend Josh’s actions and whine that they’ve been victimized by the media?because they reported the story.

It’s okay that they waited 16 months to report it, see? Josh only touched the girls “while they were sleeping,” and they “probably didn’t know” that anything happened that was “inappropriate,” and it “wasn’t rape or anything like that.”

Except that, yes, it was exactly like that, and four new victims were created by the Duggars inaction after Josh’s first confession to his parents. But, hey, God forgives him. So that’s okay, right?

Um, no. No it isn’t.
