One father in Australia took great offense recently to the fact that a local school was planning to escort 5th and 6th grade students to a religious play in celebration of Easter. He wondered: Should public schools be doing this?
When the permission slip for the play was returned to Australian comedian David Thorne thought it was time to put school administrators in their place. Here’s the slip:
And here’s the email Mr. Thorne sent to the school in response:
The school chaplain replied with this note via email:
And the way Thorne then responds is, in my humble opinion, nothing short of awesome:
The two men go back and forth with several more emails, and finally Thorne sums it all up with this hilarious conclusion:
The chaplain finally stopped emailing and Thorne had the satisfaction of knowing that he had made his point in a powerful and entertaining way.
