My mother made the unfortunate mistake of forcing my twin brother and I to take tap dancing when we were toddlers. It was likely the worst mistake ever made by a mother in the 80’s. Johanna Colon’s mother, however, did something magical when she put her daughter in tap dancing. In the clip, Johanna schools a laughing audience on R-E-S-P-E-C-T, channeling a toddler version of Aretha Franklin full of sass. The best part of the clip is towards the end where a close-up of Johanna shows her hilarious facial expressions. At the very end, she makes sure to remind her tap mates to bow with her, and politely pushes them off the stage. Johanna will be remembered for a lot of things in her life, I’m sure, but this video will go down in history as one of the funniest toddler-trending buzzes ever!
