Sanders Destroys GOP On Latest Attempt To Repeal Obamacare And Planned Parenthood

It seems that the GOP is still trying to find ways to dismantle Obamacare. This time it comes in the form of the Senate GOP’s budget reconciliation bill that is set to be voted on this week. While the Senate debated the bill yesterday, presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders took this chance to destroy the GOP’s latest attempt at repealing Obamacare.

While the reconciliation bill looks to basically dismantle Obamacare, it also goes after programs such as Planned Parenthood. On the topic of Planned Parenthood, not only did he comment on the tragic murders that took place at a Colorado Springs clinic recently, Sanders did not hold back by saying:

“Now is not the time to continue a witch hunt for an organization that provides critical healthcare services, from reproductive healthcare, to cancer screenings, and preventative services to millions of Americans. No one is forced to seek care at Planned Parenthood. It is a choice, a choice millions of women make freely and proudly.”

Now on the issue of Obamacare, Sanders did not hold back either. Speaking on the fact that Obamacare helps millions of uninsured people get healthcare, Sanders had this to say:

“Now let’s be frank, when you throw 17-million people off of health insurance, people will die, because they don’t go to a doctor when they should, they don’t get into the hospital when they should.”

Perhaps the best moment came when Sanders explained just how bad this bill is and how little chance it has if succeeding. Speaking to his Republican colleagues – that have tried to get rid of Obamacare numerous times now – Sanders said:

“The bill we are debating today is a complete waste of time. This is just another reason why the American people have so little respect for the Congress. There are major crisis’ facing our country, and the Republican leadership once again is attempting to repeal Obamacare…So let me break the news to my Republican colleagues – although I’m sure they already got the news – and that is Obama is not going to sign a bill repealing Obamacare. I think that is not likely to happen.”

Let’s face it, you can literally hear the wasted money going down the toilet…again.
