Bill O’Reilly: Trump Has ‘Sealed His Doom’ In GOP

It seems that Donald Trump is being written off by an unlikely source: Bill O’Reilly. On “The O’Reilly Factor,” Dec. 8, O’Reilly basically said that Trump was done due to his recent comments regarding Muslims. Especially the fact that he wants to stop then from coming into the country completely.

While discussing this with his guests Doug Heye, former RNC Communications Director, and Scottie Nell Hughes, a Republican strategist, O’Reilly said:

“Mr. Heye, I think it’s entirely possible – I’m gonna talk to Donald Trump about this tomorrow – that the latest comments on Muslims have pretty much sealed his doom within the party itself. That the chieftains who run the party – who are loathed by many Republican conservatives, they loathe them – okay will say, “There’s no way we’re gonna give this guy the nomination, and he’s not gonna win enough delegates outright.” Do you see it that way?”

Heye replied with:

“I don’t think he’s going to be our nominee, but remember Bill, our elections are, and our primaries and caucuses are, decided not by party chieftains in Washington, D.C.”

While Heye also commented that it was the other crazy things that Trump is doing that will keep him from getting the nomination, Hughes on the other hand defended Trump by saying:

“He’s winning in all the polls in all the states, how can you say he’s not going to have the delegates? He is going to win it.”

O’Reilly then goes on to explain “real time politics” to Hughes and basically shuts her down. Unfortunately for Trump, when Bill O’Reilly writes you off, you must be a terrible Republican. In Trump’s case though, he’s just a terrible human being.

Lastly, good try Hughes, you are not alone in trying to defend Trump, there are extremists everywhere.
