What Would Jesus Tell Trump?

When Donald Trump made the call for all Muslims to be deported, it sent shock-waves throughout the known world and Jesus Christ must have wondered how an influential individual could go on national TV to make such pronouncements.

Many condemned his stance. Many stood by him.

For every of Trump’s statements; what would Jesus have said to him in response?

Here are two assertions he made in an interview with CBN’s David Brody as far back as 2011. Is this a case of a Leopard not changing its spots?

Trump – ‘…Absolutely, yes. In fact I went a step further. I said I didn’t see Swedish people knocking down the World Trade Center.

And by the way, many, many, most Muslims are wonderful people, but is there a Muslim problem? Look what’s happening. Look what happened right here in my city with the World Trade Center and lots of other places.

Jesus Christ: ‘And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother’s eye.’ Luke 6:41-42 (KJV)

Trump; ‘I think people want the truth. I think they’re tired of politicians. They’re tired of politically correct stuff.

I mean I could have said, ‘Oh, absolutely not Bill, there’s no Muslim problem, everything is wonderful, just forget about the World Trade Center.’ But you have to speak the truth. We’re so politically correct that this country is falling apart.’

Jesus Christ; ‘So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone.’ John 8:7 (KJV)

When people in his position say these things, we should expect more people taking action against the Muslim brother/sister like the Californian woman – Denise Slader who assaulted praying Muslims.

Michael Moore also got in on the act, saying that the supposedly tough guy (Trump) from Queens a ‘wuss’.

Whatever your position on Trump’s stance is, we all need to be careful not to play the blame game in the process of trying to fight for each other. The blame could land at your feet next.

Even Jesus advised that one tread carefully before taking a rigid stand on a matter.
