In an effort to prove what a tough guy he is, Donald Trump is now telling a completely untrue story about a famous American general executing Muslim prisoners with bullets dipped in pig’s blood.
At a rally in South Carolina yesterday, Trump referenced what he said was a true story about the famous American general John “Blackjack” Pershing, who Trump said, while fighting Muslim rebels in the Philippines, executed a group of them. Trump claimed:
“He took 50 bullets, and he dipped them in pig’s blood. And he had his men load his rifles and he lined up the 50 people, and they shot 49 of those people. And the 50th person he said ‘You go back to your people and you tell them what happened.’ And for 25 years there wasn’t a problem, OK?”
Yeah, OK. And it NEVER HAPPENED! The incident is not found in any biography of Pershing, nor can it be found in any historical record. Yet another case of Trump lying when it serves his purposes and when he wants to try and rile up the lemmings he calls supporters.
Trump made the remarks as a way of telling the crowd how he would gladly torture or waterboard terrorist suspects, and he also told them:
“Can you imagine these people when they sit around at night, eating whatever they’re eating, and talking about the United States that they’re actually worried about waterboarding as being a little bit cruel? And these people chop off heads. These people must think we are the dumbest and the weakest and the stupidest people on Earth.”
You’ve got the dumb part down pat, Donald. As for weak, I’m willing to bet if a terrorist so much as glared at Trump, he’d piss and crap himself before he begged for mercy and offered them money to let him go.
