Lindsey Graham Jokes About Murdering Ted Cruz, Says No One In Senate Would Give A F

If you were running for president, you probably wouldn’t want to have a reputation for being one of the most hated people in Senate– by members of your own party. And if you were a top candidate for nomination, you definitely wouldn’t want your own colleague to joke about you being murdered, and how no one would give a flying rat’s behind if you were. If you were Ted Cruz, you would not be happy to hear some of the comments that Lindsey Graham made about you.

“If you killed Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate, and the trial was in the Senate, nobody would convict you,” Graham joked at Washington Press Club Foundation’s 72nd Congressional Dinner.

Ouch.

Although Lindsey Graham is not giving Chris Rock any competition in the humor category, he makes an important point about how despised a top GOP candidate is. The Republicans have been quick to criticize Obama’s “lack of ability” to get anything done in a hostile House (although we know the reason for that belongs on the Repubs’ shoulders for being a bunch of whiny a-holes). What would happen if a Republican president was so hated by Republicans?

Chris Christie’s recent endorsement of Trump perhaps speaks to the GOP’s hatred of the top GOP presidential candidates who are sitting senators: Cruz and Marco Rubio. I have to say, after having seen the most recent GOP debate, it’s not hard to see why. Cruz and Trump are like two pigheaded, ignorant uncles arguing over who gets the last slice of pie, and Rubio is like the little nephew trying to get in on the fight. Carson would be the grandfather with Alzheimer’s blithering to himself in the corner. How in the ever-loving f*ck is this party supposed to choose a nominee for PRESIDENT out of these folks?

No wonder Graham lamented that his party is “batsh*t crazy.” I couldn’t agree more.
