Trump’s Despicable Response To The Brussels Attack

This morning, a terrorist attack happened at an airport and a subway station in Brussels, Belgium.

At least 30 people have lost their lives, and around 170 people are injured.

So, what does Trump do? Instead of sending thoughts to the people of Belgium. He is using this horror to further his racist, xenophobic hate speech. This despicable man is unfit for the Presidency!

Here is his tweet:

He has doubled down on his hate speech Muslims. He weighed in on this on multiple news shows before he talked to his foreign policy advisors.

He told the Today show that he would be “very, very tough” on the borders if he were President right now. He also said he would be torturing suspects to get as much information as possible.

He has said if he was President and if the Paris bombing suspect, Salah Abdeslam, was in U.S. custody he would do “a lot more than water boarding.”

“Belgium is a horror show right now. This all happened because frankly there’s no assimilation. They are not assimilating for whatever reason. They don’t want laws that we have, they want Sharia Law, and you say to yourself, at what point, how much of this do you take?”

He has talked about torture before; he has gone back and forth on his stance.

A former C.I.A spokesman, Bill Harlow, and a Guantanamo prosecutor, has said that torture doesn’t work for getting intelligence from suspects.

Trump said:

“It’s going to get worse and worse. In my opinion, this is just the beginning. It will get worse and worse because we are lax and we are foolish — we can’t allow these people, at this point we cannot allow these people to come into our country. I’m sorry. This is a story that just seems to be more and more happening and it’s really not very pretty to watch.”

President Obama had a much brighter message of unity after these attacks. He gave an address from Cuba this morning:

“This is yet another reminder that the world must unite. We must be together, regardless of nationality or race or faith, in fighting against the scourge of terrorism. We can and we will defeat those who threaten the safety and security of people all around the world.”

Hillary Clinton also weighed in on these attacks with a message of stopping these horrors:

Yes, these attacks are scary, but Trump is just using these events to spread his hate. We need to be helping the victims right now. We need to unite rather than divide.
