New Poll: Who Wins In Head-To-Head Matchup, Hillary Or Donald?

Donald Trump just loves saying how much he’s looking forward to facing Hillary Clinton should the two happen to be the nominees for their respective parties. But is that just bluster, like most things with Trump? Based on a new poll, it certainly has no basis in fact.

A new CNN/ORC poll shows that in a head-to-head matchup between the former Secretary of State and the GOP commander in hate, Clinton leads 56 to 42 percent over the predatory real estate mogul.

The poll also shows that among those surveyed on who has the more desirable Presidential attributes that voters look for in a candidate seeking to occupy the Oval Office, 55 percent say Clinton would make a better commander in chief vs. 36 percent for Trump, and 51 percent see Clinton as more in touch with middle-class problems vs. 36 percent for Trump.

All of this comes at a time when Trump is riding high in the GOP race for the nomination and Clinton appears to have an insurmountable lead in delegates for the Democrats. But it should also be noted that the election will not be held tomorrow. The only poll that counts is the one taken on Election Day.

However, it would appear that Trump has significant ground to make up, and considering the kind of toxic rhetoric he is known to use, one doubts that he will actually gain on qualities which are so essential to the leader of the free world.

Trump is forever blathering about how he will crush Clinton in a debate, but he neglects to calculate one important factor into his bragging: Clinton is an attorney, and as such she has debating skills he cannot hope to match. Should these two face off in the general election, Trump may well get his ass handed to him by Hillary.
