This State Is Going WAY Backwards On Gun Control!

The state of Idaho has passed a ridiculous gun law! The state now allows people to carry LOADED guns WITHOUT a permit! This is infuriating!

Obama has tried multiple times to pass new gun control measures. In January, Obama announced some new executive actions that could easily curb gun violence and was met with insults by Fox News hosts. He also made the Republicans mad when he brought in victims of gun violence to stand with him during the announcement.

We need more background checks and better regulations. But Idaho has decided that we don’t need any of those things. Anyone over the age of 21 can carry a weapon in Idaho without a permit. Though at least they still can’t take them into sensitive places such as a courtroom or a juvenile detention center.

The open carry law only applies to cities, not smaller rural towns. The biggest concern is the lack of education required for carrying guns.

Governor C.L. Otter was a champion of this bill, but now he is saying that the legislature needs to monitor gun use and see if the lack of education would be a problem. You know what would help with the lack of education? Requiring gun education! We don’t need a “wait and see” method of gun safety.

A study at Boston University found three types of laws that would greatly lower gun deaths. We need universal background checks on gun purchases, background checks of ammunition purchases, and firearm identification.

They are calling this type of law a “constitutional carry.” They are saying the Second Amendment is permit enough to carry a concealed weapon. This is not the first state to pass such a law. Idaho is the ninth state to do so, and the law will go into effect on July 1.
