WATCH: The Most Outrageous Campaign Video EVER


To say Donald Trump is a bit self-absorbed is only to state the obvious. He’s spent his lifetime self promoting, plastering the Trump name on everything from buildings, hotels, steaks, wines, and even water. But it’s probably safe to say that the former reality TV star and egomaniac has never had such a rabid fan base.

Now from one of Trump’s more nerdier fans we have the most outrageous campaign video ever. Titled Trump Effect, the just over two-minute video is a strange montage of Trump sound and video bites, overladen with clips of Obama, Hillary Clinton, and various news clips of world events. Everywhere the world is in turmoil and calling for a strong leader like Trump …

It almost seems like the video must be parody on Trump. Except of course for the fact that he has since endorsed it.

The fan in question is undoubtedly a big video game fan as well. The video is a pretty obvious rip-off of the popular video game series Mass Effect. Audio and video clips from the game (including some narration by actor Martin Sheen) can be heard. Late in the day Electronic Arts (EA), who distributed the game, took action to block further distribution of the video.

“The video was an unauthorized use of our IP,” a senior communications representative for EA told GameSpot today. “We do not support our assets being used in political campaigns.”

One of the game’s lead developers at Bioware took to social media to express his displeasure with the Trump Effect.  Manveer Heir had this to say on Tuesday:

One can now only hope the short-lived fan made video will inspire some ambitious programmer to make Trump Effect a real video game. After all, he does make the perfect villain.
