For a guy who lives in New York and loves to talk about how proud he is to be from the Empire State, Donald Trump had never visited the 9/11 museum until yesterday. The museum has been there for over four years, but Trump was just getting around to paying a visit. Hmm…wonder if that has anything to do with the fact that the New York GOP primary will be held in April 19.
Touring the site with his wife, Melania, Trump made sure and kept the press at a safe distance so he wouldn’t have to answer any pesky questions such as this one: Hey, Donald, what too you so long to drop by the 9/11 museum.
Others who were at the museum when the Donald and his imported third wife breezed through were less than impressed by Trump’s blatant pandering and what one called a “publicity stunt.” Several took to social media and made sure to let Trump know how they felt about him:

It took Trump 4.5 years to visit the 9/11 Memorial & Museum. And he finally did it to curry favor on the eve of the NY primary. Unreal.

So it took Donald Trump nearly five years to visit the 9/11 memorial. Since he claims to love and honor veterans so much, I’m guessing he’ll be dropping by the Tomb of the Unknowns in about 20 years or so.
