These Are The ONLY Two Newspapers That Have Endorsed Trump

You know a candidate is bad when his only newspaper endorsements come from a newspaper owned by a relative and a newspaper whose CEO is a friend of the candidate.

Today, the New York Observer, a weekly publication owned by Ivanka Trump’s husband, Jared Kushner, announced its endorsement for none other than Donald Trump. Surprised? Me neither.

The predictable declaration came after months of the newspaper subtly mentioning its relationship to Trump. In a post written by the editorial board of the Observer, Trump was compared to Ronald Reagan and John F. Kennedy. How flattering.

Instead of focusing on Trump’s clearly unprofessional behavior and discriminatory remarks against women and other minorities, the endorsement denounced “the media elite” for their inability to “grasp the profound alienation, anger and disillusionment” that accelerated Trump’s rise.

“Donald Trump is the father-in-law of the Observer’s publisher. That is not a reason to endorse him. Giving millions of disillusioned Americans a renewed sense of purpose and opportunity is,” the proclamation reads.

Other media endorsements include the Conservative Action Report, a racist newsletter devoted to justifying the “Confederate South,” and unsurprisingly, the National Enquirer, whose CEO is a friend of Trump’s.

Trump’s ties with the magazine were described in an article by New York Magazine. Back in October when Trump was on a rampage to destroy Ben Carson, the controversial politician used his good relations with the National Enquirer to spread untrue rumors.

Early October, the publication published a cover story about Carson titled “Bungling Surgeon Ben Carson Left Sponge in Patient’s Brain!” The piece illustrated the presidential hopeful as a “White House wannabe” and maintained that he “brandished a scalpel like a meat cleaver!”

Think it couldn’t get worse? Think again. The article then went on to quote unhappy former patients that said the doctor “botched surgeries that left them disfigured and in pain.”

Instead of endorsements improving Trump’s reputation among the general public, they are only further proving his inability to be an effective, respected president. If the only way Trump can gain media endorsements is by knowing someone who works or owns the publication, then the public should take notice.

These declarations of loyalty to Trump further demonstrate that the only public figures who like and support Trump are people who have known him for years and who have blindly become members of his barbaric army. It’s time these publications recognize their clearly biased proclamations and reconsider who they’re putting on a pedestal.
