Linda Harvey is the leader of something called “Mission America,” which is just a santizied way of trying to hide what this woman truly is: a right-wing nujob who is opposed to anything the least bit progressive such as a woman’s right to choose or equal rights for all Americans.
Not long ago, Harvey appeared on the radio who of another wingnut, Molly Smith, and as the two began to discuss the LGBT movement in the United States, Harvey declared that giving rights to LGBT Americans will turn chilren into “selfish sexual barbarians.”
While she was at it, Harvey also brought up the long-ago discredited myth which attempts to link homosexuality with pedophilia. Harvey then added:
“We are looking at a generation of kids that are coming up who will have, who will be such, or at least a fair number of them will be such sexual barbarians.”
Harvey also claimed that when children are “sexualized early” they learn to toss “people away from your own pleasure. The same thing, Harvey said, happens “when you take pregnancy out of the mix, the opportunities are infinitely more and it seems as though the consequences are less.”
WTF?! Because people choose not to procreate, this means they’re selfish and only seek pleasure? What is someone happens to be infertile from birth or cannot conceive? Does that make them a sexual barbarian?
People like Linda Harvey are so consumed with the subject of sex–and how they can stick their noses into the bedrooms of others–that they don’t even use logic before they open their bigoted mouths and start pumping out this vile poison. If only Harvey and those like her would stop having children, perhaps this world could one day be a better place to live for all of us.
