Some pastors seem to feel the need to yell during their sermons.
The enthusiasm is a good thing. In public speaking of any kind, being enthusiastic about your speech might make others listen. But, enthusiasm doesn’t mean screaming. Some of these screaming pastors are frightening.
Additionally, some of these ranty preachers say some odd things when they go off on a tangent. For example, this screaming pastor in Arizona had this to say about the Pledge of Allegiance and sodomy. He was talking about June because that is the month that the same-sex marriage came down:
“I’m not going to sit there and swear allegiance to that flag of the United States of America no matter how perverted our nation becomes. Even when our nation just openly says, ‘June, we’re celebrating sodomy.’”
Additionally, a pastor in Tennessee wrongly said that scientists are abandoning evolution. He also had some odd things about UFO sightings, but lying about scientists is worse. Here is a lovely gem from that sermon:
“A lot of scientists, a lot of them — and there’s really no way to know specifically because of political correctness and the pressure that’s put upon them — a lot of scientists have abandoned Darwin.”
Now, here is a preacher ranting about atheists. I don’t know the identity of the man pictured below. He starts climbing on the pews while ranting about atheists. Here is what he said:
“The atheists and the ass-gnostics … have quietened our spirit down! And we ain’t got no backbone! We said, let ’em take our land, we let ’em take our children! Somebody ought to say something! Somebody ought to say something about the abuse of the glory of God!”
