Trump is down to his final bullying victim: Hillary Clinton.
In Trump fashion, he’ll begin doing exactly what he did to his biggest GOP rival, Ted Cruz, which is to throw everything but the kitchen sink at his opponent (remember Trump’s allegations that Cruz’s father, Rafael Cruz, helped kill JFK?). It doesn’t matter if it’s true, if Trump knows very much about it, or even if Trump has the same scandals in his own past; it’s mud-slinging time for the King of Sleaze.
In an interview with Sean Hannity, Trump rehashed old allegations against a man who isn’t running for office and who, by the way, Trump has been friends with for years.
The charge rehashed a controversial claim by an alleged Clinton mistress in the 1990s that was never ultimately corroborated in court…
Hannity questioned whether the New York Times, after publishing an extensive evaluation of Trump’s professional and personal relationships with women, would take the same approach to Bill Clinton’s affairs.
‘For example, I looked at The New York Times. Are they going to interview Juanita Broaddrick? Are they going to interview Paula Jones? Are they going to interview Kathleen Willey?’ Hannity asked Trump, listing women who have made allegations against Bill Clinton. ‘In one case, it’s about exposure. In another case, it’s about groping and fondling and touching against a woman’s will.’
Trump replied, ‘And rape.’
‘And rape,’ Hannity agreed.
Of course, Trump and Hannity are forgetting a few parts of this story. They usually do.
Hillary Clinton is running for president. Bill Clinton is not. He’s already served two terms. Bill is campaigning for his wife, but he isn’t running for office. Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are rivals, not Bill Clinton and Donald Trump.
If the race were between Bill and Donald Trump, it wouldn’t be too difficult for Clinton to lob the same accusations back at the GOP presumptive nominee. Trump has a few accusations of rape in his own past.
“Not only does the current frontrunner for the Republican presidential nomination have a history of controversial remarks about sexual assault, but as it turns out, his ex-wife Ivana Trump once used ‘rape’ to describe an incident between them in 1989. She later said she felt ‘violated’ by the experience…
Michael Cohen, special counsel at The Trump Organization, defended his boss, saying, ‘You’re talking about the frontrunner for the GOP, presidential candidate, as well as a private individual who never raped anybody. And, of course, understand that by the very definition, you can’t rape your spouse…’
The book [that describes the incident as told by Trump’s ex-wife, Ivana], by former Texas Monthly and Newsweek reporter Harry Hurt III, described a harrowing scene. After a painful scalp reduction surgery to remove a bald spot, Donald Trump confronted his then-wife, who had previously used the same plastic surgeon…
What followed was a ‘violent assault,’ according to Lost Tycoon. Donald held back Ivana’s arms and began to pull out fistfuls of hair from her scalp, as if to mirror the pain he felt from his own operation. He tore off her clothes and unzipped his pants.
‘Then he jams his penis inside her for the first time in more than sixteen months. Ivana is terrified… It is a violent assault,’ Hurt writes. ‘According to versions she repeats to some of her closest confidantes, ‘he raped me.'”
There’s also another rape allegation against Donald Trump that includes pedophilia and child abuse.
“Donald Trump is involved in yet another controversy and this might be the most abhorrent of them all. A woman named Katie Johnson, has accused Donald Trump of raping her when she was just 13 years old. She has also claimed that he assaulted her because of the ‘poor quality of sex.’ Donald’s slippery slope seems to have gained a bit more grease.
Johnson has also claimed another minor, one year younger, was also exposed to the same treatment.”
It isn’t as if anyone expects Trump to stick to policy to defeat his opponent, mostly because Trump is unable to cite policy or speak intelligently about it at all. Perhaps he could try to remember who he’s running against, though, and it isn’t Bill Clinton or Rafael Cruz. It’s his former friend, Hillary Clinton.
By the way, Bill Clinton is a former friend of Trump’s, as well. Are we really going to have a president who hobknobs with people he honestly believes are sex offenders, but doesn’t let that bother him until time for a political campaign?
