The Donald Bows To The NRA, Says He Will Get Rid Of Gun-Free Zones (VIDEO)

Donald Trump has been endorsed by the NRA, so of course he’s committed to putting a firearm in as many hands as possible. He wants to allow guns in hospitals and schools.

Trump was in a meeting with the NRA in Louisville, Kentucky. He got a standing ovation from the gun nuts in the crowd, and he simultaneously scared the bejeezus out of those of us that want common sense gun law reform.

More guns in more places are not going to stop people from being killed. A Twitter user called up one of Trump’s resorts. Apparently, he hasn’t gotten rid of the gun-free zones just yet.

Trump said:

“I will get rid of gun-free zones on schools, and — you have to — and on military bases. My first day, it gets signed, okay? My first day. There‘s no more gun-free zones.”

He has said that gun-free zones are magnets for mentally ill shooters:

“I feel that the gun-free zones and, you know, when you say that, that’s target practice for the sickos and for the mentally ill. That’s target [practice]. They look around for gun-free zones.”

Does he want to say that to the three-year-old child that lost his life from his mother’s gun? Twenty-three toddlers have shot people this year. Are they “sickos,” Donald?

Law enforcement officials are actually concerned about expanding gun rights. When Georgia tried to allow on-campus carry, University police forces were against it. The governor, Nathan Deal, said this when he vetoed the law:

“From the early days of our nation and state, colleges have been treated as sanctuaries of learning where firearms have not been allowed. To depart from such time-honored protections should require overwhelming justification.”
