Ana Navarro is a Republican strategist. She is a CNN commentator. She is a Hispanic woman, as well as a lawyer.
To say that Navarro has been having a hard time warming up to the GOP’s nominee would be a gross understatement. She has been one of Trump’s most vocal critics since he announced his candidacy, criticizing his immigration policies among other issues.
At one point, Trump was pushing an online petition to have Navarro fired for being pro-Jeb Bush. Obviously, that went nowhere.

The Republican commentator reached a new level of anger and disgust at Trump on June 2. According to Addicting Info, Navarro was appearing on CNN’s show The Situation Room.
CNN’s Jake Tapper had interviewed Trump earlier in the day. The candidate had publicly questioned the impartiality of the judge who is handling one of the lawsuits against Trump’s poorly named “University.”
Trump insisted to Tapper, as he has been saying for a few weeks now, that there is a conflict of interest on the part of the judge. Although the man was born in Indiana of Mexican parents, Trump keeps saying that he is “Mexican” and that he can’t be fair to Trump. Why? Said Trump to Tapper:
“I’m building a wall. It’s an inherent conflict of interest.”
The outrageous racism of the comment created outrage from both sides of the aisle, but nobody was as passionate and direct as Ana Navarro.
Her voice was shaking with anger at the bullying, xenophobic tactics used by her party’s choice for President.
“I gotta’ tell you, I’m a lawyer, I am a Hispanic … it is offensive from a legal perspective, it is highly offensive as a Hispanic. What he is doing is wagging the dog. He is trying to distract from the fact he has got a problem with a case where there are allegations that his business is a scam and a fraud. How dare he, how dare he question a judge’s responsibility, a judge’s adherence to the Constitution because he is of Mexican descent.”
Navarro went further as she slammed Trump’s comments. She spoke as a naturalized American, and she was absolutely furious. Speaking of Judge Gonzalo Curiel, she said:
“This man was born in eastern Chicago. He’s an American citizen. He is just as American as Donald Trump. Mexican Americans bleed just as any other American when they go to war. They bled, just as any other American on 9/11. They fight for America, they are America. And what he is doing is disgusting, I am livid about it. If this is his strategy to win over Hispanics, he’s got a hell of a wake up call coming to him in November.”
A hell of a wake up call.
Ana Navarro, millions of Americans hope that you are right, and that the country will turn its back on this dangerous, self-serving bigot.
