Just Revealed: No Pay Equity On The Trump Campaign (VIDEO)

Donald Trump has a serious problem attracting women voters.  A Gallup poll conducted in April showed that seven of 10 women voters had an unfavorable opinion of the GOP candidate.

Trump, of course, continually denies his difficulties, and attempts to pass them off as media distortion.

Perhaps in an effort to erase women’s memories of his past insults, Trump has publicly spoken about supporting equal pay for equal work. In speaking of men and women on the “Morning Joe” show, Trump said:

“If they do the same job, they should get the same pay.”

However, an article in yesterday’s Boston Globe reported that there is absolutely no pay equity among male and female staffers on the Trump campaign. Once again, Trump has proven that what he says and what he actually does are two vastly different things.

Women who work on the Trump campaign earn about one-third less than their male counterparts on the campaign. The women on the staff made an average of about $4,500. At the same time, and for roughly the same work, the men made about $6,100. Or approximately 35 percent more than the women.

No pay equity here, no matter what Trump says when he’s pushed.

In comparison to Trump’s campaign, Clinton paid her women staffers an average of $3,710. The men on her staff made an average of $3,760. That would be equal pay for equal work!

Its also interesting to compare the numbers of men and women that each of these candidates employs. The Globe reported that 53 percent of Clinton’s staff are women. Among the top 15 most highly paid staffers, 8 were men and 7 were women.

Not so equal on the Trump side of the aisle. Trump’s staff is only 28 percent women, and among his 15 most highly paid people, only two were female.

This information matters. It is a look into how each of these candidates feels about women. Its a look into how they would be likely to staff the White House, fill their Cabinet seats, and appoint people to the various courts.

More importantly, these figures give us an insight into what the candidates really think about women. When Donald Trump insists that he respects women, that he’ll be great for women, that he adores women, remember that he has yet to put his money where his mouth is.

No pay equity on the Trump campaign, that’s for sure.
