Full disclosure right up front: Whenever I see Donald Trump spokesperson Katrina Pierson appear on any news show, I almost always turn the channel because I dislike her so much. I find her to be willfully ignorant, blatantly dissembling, and downright vile. There, I feel better now.
But Pierson may have just proven herself to be a bigger moron than I could have ever imagined on CNN earlier today. Pierson was there to respond to this tweet sent out yesterday by Michael Reagan, son of former President Ronald Reagan:
This most likely would be the 1st time if my father was alive that he would not support the nominee of the GOP @Reince @newsmax

That tweet led CNN host Wolf Blitzer to comment:
“That must be a very particularly painful rebuke for Donald Trump given his admiration for Ronald Reagan.”
Yet Pierson, who lies almost as much as Trump himself, denied that it was, saying:
“No, I don’t think so at all. everyone can try to assume what somebody else would do, but you simply can’t do that. I think it’s unfortunate that he would go far to assume that because he doesn’t know what Ronald Reagan would do because, in fact, I think Ronald Reagan would probably support Mr. Trump, considering how he has been a Republican who has been out there who has broadened the Republican base and broadened new voters and won in states that Republicans don’t usually win and doing very well. The people have spoken. Mr. Trump has broken the record in Republican party turnout and I believe Ronald Reagan would support his nominee.”
So Katrina Pierson and Donald Trump know more of what Ronald Reagan would think about a cancer like Trump more than Regan’s own son would?! Are you kidding me? Also, Pierson says you cannot assume what somebody else would do, yet she goes right ahead and does exactly that!
I don’t claim to be an expert on Ronald Reagan, but I do know this much about him: Reagan had a level of class and dignity that an orange-faced gutter rat like Donald Trump can never hope to understand or aspire to.
