Televangelist Frank Amedia volunteers as Donald Trump’s “Christian policy liaison.” That title is very problematic since we are a secular nation which shouldn’t have “Christian policies.”
I could go on, but that’s not the point here. Amedia is known for his hate-fest “sermons.” In a recent sermon he used the story of Nebuchadnezzar to talk about gay people. Nebuchadnezzar told people to either pray to a false idol or be thrown into the furnace. Amedia says that this is the same as fighting against the bathroom bills. He says that the faithful should be willing to burn in the furnace for their beliefs.
“I really was not even thinking about Donald Trump as being a serious candidate. And the Lord spoke very clearly to me, and he said to me, ‘This man is going to win the nomination and I want you to be ready to serve my cause when I call you.'”
“Only God can take imperfection and use someone like me and, I won’t speak for you, but maybe the vast majority of those who are listening and be able to somehow mold us into a victory in His name.”
Amedia also has some hatred toward people who practice Voodoo:
“We would give food to the needy in the short term, but if they refused to give up Voodoo, I’m not sure we would continue to support them in the long term because we wouldn’t want to perpetuate that practice. We equate it with witchcraft, which is contrary to the Gospel.”
“I stood at the edge of my bed and I said, ‘In the name of Jesus, I declare that tsunami to stop now,'” he recalled. “It was seen by 400 people on a cliff. It was on YouTube. It was actually on the news that that tsunami stopped 200 feet off of shore.”
This guy obviously doesn’t understand science. I hope no one actually burns themselves after listening to this idiot. He needs to get his priorities straight.
