Oh, boy. We know that Donald Trump is pretty big in the conspiracy theory world. From his claims that President Obama was not born in the U.S. to his insistence that the President is a Muslim, Trump has proven that he is willing to spread any kind of insanity if it helps his own narrative.

Now, we have some evidence that Trump’s choice for Vice President is equally as unhinged and as paranoid as he is.
BuzzFeed is reporting that back when Republican Governor Mike Pence was a lowly talk radio host in Indiana, he wrote an op-ed piece suggesting that one of Walt Disney Productions’ latest female protagonists was a piece of Liberal propaganda.
The Indiana conservative claimed that some Liberal mind at Disney Studios had created the character of young Mulan to sway the discussion about women in the military.
In fact, Pence wrote:
“I suspect that some mischievous liberal at Disney assumes that Mulan’s story will cause a quiet change in the next generation’s attitude about women in combat and they just might be right.”
Whoo, boy. A Vice Presidential candidate who is literally afraid of cartoon characters…
Pence went on in his article to claim that, contrary to the Liberal agenda being pushed by the children’s movie, Mulan’s military service was a really bad idea. He said that her love affair with a superior officer proved the point that women don’t belong in the military.
In his own ridiculously sexist and paranoid words, Pence wrote:
“Me thinks the politically correct Disney types completely missed the irony of this part of the story. They likely added it because it added realism with which the viewer could identify with the characters. You see, now stay with me on this, many young men find many young women to be attractive sexually. Many young women find many young men to be attractive sexually. Put them together, in close quarters, for long periods of time, and things will get interesting. Just like they eventually did for young Mulan. Moral of story: women in military, bad idea.”
So… OK.
The man who Donald Trump chose to be his running mate in this presidential election lives in fear of Liberal plots disguised as cartoon movies. He also clearly lives in fear of sex and sexual attraction. He underestimates the morality, self-control, and maturity of our entire military force.
THIS is the guy that Republicans are supposed to put in the number two position in our government?
Holy paranoia.
