Donald Trump (R-N.Y.) announced Saturday, June 16, that Mike Pence, the Indiana governor who thinks cigarettes don’t cause cancer, would be his running mate. Just prior to that announcement came the unveiling of the Trump/Pence campaign logo.
The logo featured an American flag style stars and stripes design but instead of stars, it had a large blue “T” penetrating a large blue “P” resting just under it.

Keep in mind that a vaguely similar Obama campaign design caused right wing outrage in 2012, but there would be no time for outrage here as the Trump/Pence logo barely survived a day.
As predictable as a Trump lawsuit, social media descended upon the design like sharks to a feeding frenzy!
Here are a few of the more “creative” reactions from Twitter:

Alas, the mockery was too much for the notoriously thin-skinned Trump. Less than 24 hours of the grand unveiling, the logo was updated.
Gone now is the Trump/Pence flag which raised so many eyebrows.

We are now left with just the essence of this nightmare of a GOP ticket, Donald Trump and Mike Pence.
