Seems like no matter what progressive policy you mention or propose when there’s a conservative in the room, you’ll find yourself being criticized. Gun control? They holler about the Second Amendment. LGBT rights? You get a treatise on the moral decline of America. Equal pay for equal work? Well, even if you’re the daughter of the GOP nominee and you dare to broach the subject, you can expect some major pushback from the right-wing lugnuts who have taken over the Republican Party in recent years.
Specifically, here’s what Ivanka Trump said:

OMG! What did she say? You would have thought Ivanka Trump had just announced that her father was really Lucifer in human form (hey, you gotta admit that would explain a lot) and was planning to let the Chinese annex the United States. The online reaction was hateful, hypocritical, and downright ugly at times:
Wait WHAT?! Did Ivanka really just push the wage gap myth?https://t.co/hPIhkIK7nP

Ivanka is now preaching crap about the wage gap and mirroring Hillary's agenda on child care. Wait, is she a Dem?!?!

Has Ivanka Trump listened to anything her father has said, or is she starting her own Political Party! #RNCinCLE

Equal pay for equal work is a part of the Democratic platform. Why didn’t the GOP include it in theirs? Probably because they’re too busy trying to take away as many rights as possible from every woman in America.
