Ever since the Donald Trump presidential run came into play, the Tea Party has been noticeably absent. There are multiple reasons for this. The largest one is the fact that the Tea Party cannibalized itself financially from the inside.
The uprising of the Tea Party was a spontaneous affair; its death was equally as quick. In a sad play of irony, everything the Tea Party thought it stood for, was its very undoing.
What started off as a grassroots movement was taken over by the very forces it protested.
Angels of Death: PACs
Conservative Political Action Committees (PACs) noticeably took advantage of millions of Americans who supported and were a part of the Tea Party. How did they do it? Utilizing the greatest forms of financial fraud, a pyramid scheme.
These conservative PACs took this financial scam and utilized it for political campaigns. As if the political realm could afford more corruption.
It started with the typical grass roots movement. Starting at the organic level of supporters, these newly formed PACs asked endlessly for donations in the guise of petitioning. Locking onto people who don’t understand the complex game of email lists and targeted marketing, the PAC’s had found the perfect prey.
One such example of an internal killer is the Tea Party Leadership Fund. From 2013 to the middle of 2015, the TPLF had received $6.7 million. A majority of this from small donors, the base of the Tea Party.
A POLITICO investigation, found that 87 percent of that investment went back to the consulting firms that worked in cahoots with the PAC. Only $910,00 of that was used to support the actual candidates.
Campaign finance documents examined by various media outlets have found that the majority of these conservative PACs have spent their donation money on consulting firms.
Scattered Remains
The remains of the party have been gobbled up by Trump. Now here’s where an important connection comes into play. Remember this moron, Katrina Pierson, who’s been quite the spectacle for Trump’s campaign. Her past experience as former spokeswoman for the Tea Party Leadership Fund, is all you need to know about her qualifications.
Pierson’s consulting firm is a nauseating affair. A place where she boasts about supporting Sarah Palin as well as Ted Cruz, before settling on the nut job, Donald Trump.
If one of the causes of death was murder by PAC, then the metamorphosis of its remains are even scarier. Now operating on a national level through the Trump campaign, the Tea Party has found its unholy undead purpose almost fulfilled.
Nominees are the personification of their electorate. Their ignorance of geo-political issues is no more evident than in the uniformed people they elect.
If the original incarnation of the Tea Party was death from the inside, then the same will prove true for Trump’s campaign.
Will Trump win over the Tea Party or will they continue to cannibalize themselves?
