Shocker! One of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s advisers said that he is actually starting to act like a president.
Yesterday, he proposed an extra test for Muslims who want to enter our country. Trump said:
“Those who do not believe in our Constitution, or who support bigotry and hatred, will not be admitted for immigration into the country.”
Senate Minority Leader, Harry Reid, said:
“Immigrants work hard to get here and become Americans, while Trump inherited everything from his father and works hardest at Tweeting insults and ripping off hard-working people with two-bit scams.”
Trump’s foreign policy adviser, Walid Phares, said:
“That exactly shows the evolution, a mature evolution, based on input, on information. He actually operates now almost like a president listening to advisers, people in the intelligence or [who] worked in the intelligence, defense, diplomacy.”
I wonder how much he got paid to say that. Trump’s behavior has never been anywhere near presidential.
Just last night, he whined to a crowded rally about what will happen if he loses. He actually almost a tantrum that ended with the classic line, “I will never forgive you.” Yes, he said he will never forgive his followers if he loses.
I used to say things like that to my parents when I was a teenager. It didn’t work then and it won’t work now.
He said:
“Can you imagine how badly I’ll feel if I spent all of that money, all of this energy, all of this time, and lost? I will never, ever forgive the people of Connecticut, I will never forgive the people of Florida, and Pennsylvania, and Ohio, but I love them anyway. We’ll see. I think we’re going to do very well.”
Trump also complains that if he loses, then the election must be rigged. He is taking applicants to be “observers” at the polls.
We can’t let this talking Halloween decoration represent our country. He would make us a laughing stock, and we are better than this.
