WATCH: Trump Verbally Assaults Military Intelligence — Says He Doesn’t Trust Them

Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump, has once again insulted military personnel by suggesting that he does not trust the information he would receive from the FBI and current intelligence officials.

In an interview with Ainsley Earhardt on Fox News, Trump was asked straight out whether or not he trusts intelligence. His answer was both predictable and utterly-ridiculous. He said:

“Not so much from the people that have been doing it for our country. I mean, look what’s happened over the last 10 years. Look what’s happened over the years. It’s been catastrophic. And, in fact, I won’t use some of the people that are sort of your standards, you know, just use them, use them, use them, very easy to use them, but I won’t use them because they’ve made such bad decisions.”

Earhardt’s question about intelligence came after it was confirmed that Trump is bringing retired Lieutenant General Michael Flynn to his first intelligence briefing with the FBI on Wednesday.

Trump’s answer to the question about why he has chosen to bring Michael Flynn to the meeting is particularly telling. He is quoted saying:

“I think he’s a great guy. I’ve gotten to know him. He’s been a real fan of mine and defender of mine and he’s a terrific guy, a terrific general — tough, smart. Feels like I do about illegal immigration, in particular.”

Yes Donald, because being a real fan and defender of yours means that he must be qualified. Also, just because he shares your views on immigration does not make the man tough or smart. What it does make him is insanely dangerous, especially for giving you the validation that your overly-simplistic views on national security and terrorism are in any way correct.

Another man who loves to validate Trump’s views every chance he gets, spoke out in favor of Trump’s claim that the intelligence community should not be trusted. Of course this man would have to be former New York Mayor Mr. Rudy Giuliani. When asked about our nation’s intelligence community he remarked:

“I mean, our intelligence has really let us down on a number of occasions, and there’s something substantially wrong with the way we gather intelligence. When the president of the United States can say just a short really, just a short while ago that ISIS is the JV team, something is wrong with our intelligence.”

Giuliani’s quote clearly demonstrates just how hard he is working to remain relevant. By supporting Trump and his campaign he is trying to make himself a political powerhouse again. Only instead of being a moderate like he claimed to be during the early 2000s, he is making inflammatory statements and supporting a man who would rather get his information from the National Enquirer than a United States FBI team.

While Giuliani’s quotes about our nation’s intelligence will receive a lot of media play, it should also not be forgotten that New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will be in attendance at Trump’s intelligence briefing with the FBI.

Let’s all just collectively roll our eyes together. Of course the only men in the room are men who have happily kissed the ass of Donald Trump. We can all rest easy knowing that no questions of any complexity or nuance will be asked by Trump’s “advisers” during the briefing.

Trump will continue to get the affirmations he so clearly needs from the “three stooges” and will more than likely continue to bash the intelligence communities that are giving him privileged information. Let’s be honest, he probably doesn’t even deserve to be in the room.
