These Fashionistas Throw Serious Shade On Ivanka (Video)

Small businesses are usually very excited to land a celebrity client. Take, for example, a small jewelry business in New York City called “Lady Grey.”

The jewelry is handcrafted, simple, and very beautiful. The two owners, Jill Martinelli and Sabine Le Guyader, are very proud of the fact that many rich and famous women are buying their earrings, cuffs and necklaces. They sell to Beyoncé, Selena Gomez and Rihanna.

Not too shabby.

Not every celebrity customer is equally valued, though, according to a report in Mediaite.

The jewelers recently received an order for an ear cuff, valued at $84, from the famous celebrity Ivanka Trump.

The two jewelry artists were no doubt happy to sell the jewelry, but they were not so happy to advertise her purchase. They decided to keep this particular purchase mostly quiet, deciding not to use it in advertising.

The two women also decided not to keep the $84 dollars that Ivanka paid them for the ear cuff. Instead of putting the money in the till, the two chose to donate it to various liberal causes.

They divided the money between the American Immigration Council, Everytown for Gun Safety, and the Hillary Clinton Campaign.

The American Immigration Council is an organization that supports the rights of immigrants. This is of course in complete opposition to Trump’s “let’s build a wall” philosophy. They decided to donate as a direct slap in the face to his position.

Then there is the anti-NRA organization Everytown for Gun Safety. This anti-gun group arose out of the horrific deaths at Sandy Hook Elementary school. They support increased background checks and other common sense changes to our gun regulations. They are not big fans of Donald Trump and his “Yay, NRA” posture. The jewelers chose to donate to this cause.

Finally, the jewelry makers wanted to donate money to the Clinton campaign. Talk about a direct slap in the face to the lovely Ivanka, right? It can’t get much more direct than that.

The Lady Grey owners explained their actions this way:

“While we were flattered to receive an order from Ivanka Trump, our social and political views couldn’t be further from those of the Trump campaign. When we received her order, we instantly felt compelled to take the money and donate it to a few organizations that were more aligned with our ideals.”

So there you go. Ivanka may be a famous fashionista and her money might be just as good as anyone else’s.

That doesn’t mean that the business people who take her money have to agree with her father’s ugly posturing.

Here’s a little Ivanka for you to enjoy.
