Trump Campaign Manager Says Deportation Force Is ‘TBD’

Since he first descended from his tower aboard his golden escalator, Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump has made a point of identifying problems in America. For example:

It isn’t just Mexicans. Don’t forget who else is to blame:

Trump seems to have it all figured out. We need to not only stop immigrants from entering our country, but also to get rid of the ones who are currently here illegally. That second part may be changing, however. In a Saturday meeting with the Hispanic Advisory council, Trump stated he wanted to find a “humane and efficient” way to work with undocumented immigrants. Some have taken this to mean that Trump is walking back his idea of deportation and instead may be looking for some way to legalize these immigrants. Enter Trump’s new campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway.

When repeatedly pressed about whether Trump was softening his stance on the issue on CNN’s State of the Union, Conway offered up the response, “To be determined.” She continued:

“So what Donald Trump said yesterday in that meeting … varied little from what he has said publicly… What he supports is to make sure we enforce the law, that we are respectful of those Americans who are looking for jobs, and that we are fair and humane to those who live among us.”

So, another Trump mouthpiece saying a lot but giving absolutely no clear answer about what he would actually do if elected president.

Another Trump supporter who was in the meeting, former Attorney General of Puerto Rico Jose Fuentes, said he did not believe Trump indicated that he would help undocumented immigrants stay in the country. Fuentes did say that he was impressed by how much Trump understood the issues that are important to Hispanic voters.

Both Conway and Fuentes seemed under the impression that Donald Trump is not softening his stance, but he wants to be humane, and he understands the issues. Conway also stated how to spot a leader:

“Leaders show up where people in need are, and they hear them, and they help them, and you saw that on full display on Friday.”

Conway was referring to Trump’s photo-op visit to flood-stricken Louisiana. The one where he spent 49 seconds helping hand out supplies. Make it great again.
