College Republicans Are Not Endorsing ‘Mentally Unstable’ Donald Trump (VIDEO)

As someone with a mental illness, I don’t like the terms being thrown around. People throw around these terms too easily. We all know Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is not very stable. However, throwing out these terms can be very damaging for someone who is actually suffering from a mental illness.

I’m surprised I’m saying it, but this group of Republicans is talking about Trump’s behavior the right way. The University of Connecticut (UConn) College Republicans called him “mentally unstable” and said they are not voting for him.

They said this in a statement:

“Someone who employs divisive, outright bigoted rhetoric, and who pits Americans against each other in an effort to scare voters into embracing his candidacy is not worthy of our support. Based on his rhetoric and his stances on public policy, he would guide the United States in a direction astray from constitutional, limited government and toward a direction defined by ugly nationalism and authoritarianism.”

Many of us Millennials are definitely not on Trump’s side. This group says they will not be supporting Trump.

A lot of us are struggling to pay student loans and find jobs that pay well enough. Some of us still live at home. Donald Trump just can’t identify with this. He got a “small” loan from his rich daddy.

The Trumpkin has caused a divide among chapters of the College Republicans organization. The president of the UConn chapter said:

“There’s been a lot of noise and publicity that has been given to the way that the party has just kind of come apart this election. Different College Republican groups across the country, some have decided to endorse him, some have decided not to endorse him.”

Trump’s extremism has led to a new fringe group sprouting up with the Republican party. They are an extremely racist bunch. They oppose multiculturalism and they are basically white supremacists.

On the rise of the “alt-right” movement, he said:

“There are fringe communities online that have kind of broken away from conservatism, and they call themselves the ‘alt-right’: the alternate right. They take a much more populist, an ugly populist, view of things and their ideology is not the Reaganesque or Bush-era conservatism that I believe, and that the executive board believes is the proper direction for the Republican party to take.”
