One EPIC Obama Tweet Easily Sums Up Eight Years Of GOP Obstruction (TWEET/VIDEO)

President Barack Obama will be missed. His leadership has been impressive in many ways. A great speaker, smart, funny, and handsome. A man with integrity, who stood for fairness and tried to implement meaningful change to America.

Think about what he achieved and what he attempted to achieve. This is a man who called homosexuals his “gay brothers and sisters” and demanded equal rights for them, and for women, too.

This is a man who wanted all citizens to have access to healthcare, not just the wealthy.

This is a man whose wife, Michelle, stepped in to help inspire Americans to eat better and improve their health by getting moving.

This has been an inspiring presidency in many ways. Obama has tried to make everyone feel like an equal, valued, and valid American citizen.

Unfortunately, this is also a man who was blocked in an unprecedented way during his time in office. For some bizarre reason, those who have stood in the way of so much of Obama’s legislation, seem to have really enjoyed it. Stopping Obama became a GOP sport; something they did for fun.

Even towards the end of his presidency, this obstruction continues.

Obama recently tweeted:

This is a power that the senate does not actually have. The senate is supposed to automatically accept the President’s recommendation, and vote on it.

It is indeed a strange and spiteful thing to say Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell’s ‘proudest’ moment involved blocking Obama’s choice from entering the Supreme Court.

What does that say about a person? What does it say about his career?

Senate Minority leader, Nevada Democrat Harry Reid is pushing for a floor vote on Obama’s recommendation for Judge Garland to join the Supreme Court.

Republicans are (surprise, surprise) trying to delay the motion, until after the election in November.

Obama clearly states in his tweet that senators should quit obstructing and do their ‘job’.

Senator Reid said:

“If they want to separate themselves from Donald Trump, and heaven knows they should, what they should do is call in McConnell to confirm Garland,”

This has been going on for months now, and is just another example of blatant hostility towards Obama and his administration. Frankly it is embarrassing.
