Ivanka Trump must have an incredibly hard time looking at herself in the mirror.
She seems like a reasonably intelligent person, and has an elegant and articulate way of presenting herself. It must be hard for her to continuously stand up in public and lie about her father.
RawStory reports on the latest bit of truth twisting done by the lovely Ivanka.
The daughter of the Republican presidential nominee was being interviewed by CNN’s Gloria Borger when she was asked about her father’s well deserved reputations as a sexist.
In his defense, Ivanka used just about the thinnest explanation she could have possible come up with. She actually said:
“He’s absolutely not a sexist. There’s no way I could be the person I am today if my father was a sexist.”
Now, this little bit of breathless enthusiasm ignores the fact that Donald Trump once famously stated that if the beautiful adolescent Ivanka wasn’t his daughter, he’d want to date her.
Aside from the fact that the statement is disgusting, it’s also pretty obviously sexist. When a man objectifies a woman into a sexual toy for his pleasure, that’s sexism. When it’s his own daughter, it both sexist and repugnant.
Nevertheless, Ivanka Trump steadfastly maintained her claim that her dear old Dad is not misogynistic at all. She stated:
“I would not be one of his senior-most executives. I would not be working shoulder-to-shoulder with my brothers. I would be working for my brothers, if at all.”
Well, at least we know that Ivanka has inherited one of her father’s character traits. That would be his narcissism. “I’m a woman, and he hired me. So he can’t possibly be sexist.”
She ignored all the stories of how Trump objectified women on his TV shows. She didn’t mention his gross reference to Megyn Kelly’s menstrual period. Or all of the times that Trump has called women “pigs” and “dogs.”
Ivanka Trump is apparently a loyal employee and a loyal daughter. She insists that her father is not sexist. Not at all.
On the other hand, perhaps Ms. Trump isn’t the best person to judge sexist behavior. Maybe she doesn’t recognize it when it’s right in front of her.

So here is what we know. Ivanka Trump works for her father in a job that was pretty much handed to her. We know she believes that just because he hired her, he’s not sexist.
We know that Ivanka thinks that sexual harassment is just a joke.
Some of us think trying to make Donald Trump look like a decent human being is the real joke.
