Trump Now Using Apocalyptic Warnings To SCARE Religious Nuts Into Voting For Him

Donald Trump, like every other Republican politician who has run for office over the past 20 years or so, is fond of using fear in order to scare gullible voters into supporting him. And he did so again yesterday in an interview he gave to the Christian Broadcasting Network.

The Orange Menace, speaking to host David Brody, warned that if he isn’t elected President in November:

“You’re going to have illegal immigrants coming in and they’re going to be legalized and they’re going to be able to vote and once that all happens you can forget it.”

No more Republicans in the White House? Hey, count me in!

Trump tried to whip fundamentalists into a frenzy by also commenting:

“I think it’s going to be the last election that the Republicans can win. If we don’t win this election, you’ll never see another Republican and you’ll have a whole different church structure. You’re going to have a whole different Supreme Court structure. That has to do a lot with what we’re doing because the Supreme Court, as you know with Justice Scalia gone, I think you could probably have four to five judges picked by the next president. Probably a record number, David, probably a record number of judges. If they pick the super-liberals, probably to a certain extent, people that would make Bernie Sanders happy, you will never have a Supreme Court, we’re going to end up with another Venezuela, large-scale version. It would be a disaster for the country.”

A whole different church structure? Does that mean that churches would then have to pay taxes? Again, you can count me in on that one, too.

This kind of nonsense is right out of the GOP playbook. They try to demonize everyone they disagree with and scream that the country is being lost to (gasp!) foreigners. But unless you’re Native American, members of your family were once considered to be foreign and undesirable to those who were already living here. This kind of racism has been practiced for centuries, and it’s often used to gain political power.

But this is America, and we are a melting pot. If Trump and his Bible-thumping minions don’t like that, perhaps they should leave and not return. We’d all benefit from that kind of mass exodus.
