New York Times Writer DESTROYS Trump Supporter For Saying Blacks Will Prosper Under GOP (VIDEO)

Don’t you just love how Donald Trump has been reaching out to African-American voters in recent weeks? His main tagline is, “What have you got to lose?” Considering that Trump used to refuse to rent to blacks, it’s fair to assume that black Americans would have a hell of a lot to lose under a Trump Administration.

Last night on CNN, one of Trump’s paid mouthpieces, Betsy McCaughey, attempted to say that having Trump in the White House would be a huge plus for African-Americans, commenting:

“Let me point out what I see is the racism in this campaign.

“Whenever African-Americans are addressed, the big issue is avoided. The economic issues as if they can’t understand it or it doesn’t apply to them. When, in fact, under this Obama/Clinton economy that is limping along at 1.2 percent, African-Americans have been hurt the worst.

“African-Americans have the most to gain, but neither Mrs. Clinton not the media focus on that.”

Do you see what McCaughey did there? She resorted to what can best be called whitesplaining to try and make her point, but New York Times writer Charles Blow wasn’t buying it for a second, telling McCaughey:

“Donald Trump has not put forth a real solid plan that addresses anything about the African-American community. All he has done is go in and  pander to African-Americans so he can get white women to vote for him.”

Then Blow perfectly dissected McCaughey with this:

“That is the only thing that Donald Trump has done. And that itself is a form of bigotry. That kind of pandering is a form of bigotry. And let me be super super clear about something. There are bigots in this country. There are sexists, there are xenophobes in this country. They’re everywhere, they vote too. Some of them will vote for any candidate. They will vote for Hillary Clinton. The big difference is, whether or not you are going to pitch to that population or they will have to vote for you in spite of you condemning them.”

If Trump would be so great for African-Americans–or for anyone–then why does he feel the need to lie about everything he’s done in his sordid past when it comes to how he’s treated people? Why not fess up and promise to turn over a new leaf? Why? Because he hasn’t changed, he just needs to pretend he has for optics.
